We are seeking a skilled Azure Data Engineer to play a key role in our adoption of Microsoft Fabric and Copilot, transforming our data culture by bringing data closer to business users and driving data-driven decision-making through insightful reports and innovative solutions.

Our strategic objectives revolve around two key pillars:  Microsoft Fabric adoption and leveraging AI capabilities to shape and strengthen our overall data architecture. As a valued member of our global data team, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping our data landscape.

The ideal candidate will design, implement, and manage scalable data solutions using the most innovative Azure services, while also analyzing data to provide actionable insights. Responsibilities include data integration, ensuring data quality and security, and creating insightful reports. A proactive approach to innovation is key.

Responsibilities

* Design, develop and maintain data pipelines and infrastructure ensuring scalability, reliability and efficiency using the most innovative Microsoft Azure services being a key part in the adoption plan of Microsoft Fabric within the company.
* Working closely with business teams to understand their data needs and deliver solutions that bring data closer to decision-makers
* Support establishing data governance frameworks and security protocols to protect sensitive information and ensure compliance
* Developing and maintaining insightful reports to help business teams make informed decisions based on data
* Engage with business stakeholders to gather requirements and understand their data needs. This involves regular meetings and discussions to align data solutions with business goals to complete corporate analytics roadmap.
* Leverage data science and machine learning techniques to unlock value from our data.

Position Requirements
Formal Education & Certification

* Bachelor/Master degree of applied science.
* Our global work environment requires fluency in spoken and written English
* Post-graduate certification in Data management, Big Data or Analytics would be a plus.
* Azure data engineer associate certification would be a plus.

Knowledge & Experience

* Minimum of 5 years direct work experience.
* Experience with Microsoft Azure services for data engineering and hybrid landscapes with on-premises and Cloud-based components (+2 years)
* Demonstrated experience with data integration to support data marts, pipelines and insights creation.
* Comprehensive data platforms analysis and design experience, with full knowledge of data lake methodologies and data modelling applying best data quality practices.
* Experience using with Power BI providing insightful analysis and reports.
