About the role
As a Senior Claims Analyst you will be responsible for providing support and ensuring accurate, timely, and proactive communication to colleagues and merchants or banks related to claims submission based on research and analyze routine and complex claims data to determine that payments and settlements have been made in accordance with PayU practices and procedures.

What you’ll do
• Analyze claims processing data to identify recurring errors and potential gaps in claims protocols, providing actionable insights for improvement.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and internal stakeholders to align claims control measures and analytic strategies, ensuring accurate adjudication of claims in line with plan guidelines. Make process recommendations for improvements.
• Monitor and manage the disputes process and chargeback activities across the LATAM region, ensuring timely resolution and adherence to guidelines.
• Review supporting documentation submitted by merchants, handle the representation process, and collaborate with the commercial team to ensure all requirements are met.
• Ensure accurate and efficient data entry into internal systems within defined timeframes to maintain data integrity.
• Provide support to the Supervisor and Manager as needed to ensure the team operates efficiently and meets performance goals.
• Analyze alerts generated by an increased number of disputes and chargebacks, evaluating data per merchant and per country to identify trends or concerns.
• Respond to inquiries from merchants, sales teams, buyers, payment networks, and other stakeholders within established timeframes, ensuring compliance with internal processes.
• Provide detailed loss history when requested, working closely with the negative balance team and collections (casa de cobros) to address outstanding issues.
• Ensure all assigned tasks are completed in a timely manner on a daily basis, maintaining high standards of efficiency.
• Manage and nurture client relationships by clearly communicating claim requirements and providing regular updates on claim statuses.

What you need to succeed
• Bachelor´s degree on Industrial engineer or related, Business Administration or financial related.
• 3+ years of experience related.
• Knowledge in databases and Business process automation (Excel,SQL, Power BI and Tableau).
• Intermediate English level (desirable)
• Office tools management.
• Analytical mind and strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent analytical aptitude with a proven ability to analyze/interpret data
