We are hiring: IT Technical Support and Operations Engineer – Bogotá (Remote)

A fast-growing international company is looking for a Technical Support and Operations Engineer to join their global IT team and provide first-line support to users and clients in Colombia and across the Americas.

As part of the regional team, reporting to the Americas IT Manager, you will work closely with colleagues in Colombia, Argentina, Uruguay, and with central support teams in Europe and APAC. This is a client-facing role focused on ensuring strong relationships and high customer satisfaction through efficient, hands-on IT support.

Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the first point of contact for users and clients within defined service levels.
- Provide 1st line local support to Refund Points at Colombian Customs, merchants, and internal employees.
- Log and manage incidents and service requests using the Issue Tracking System.
- Perform field service to resolve or escalate technical issues in a timely and structured manner.
- Install, maintain, and manage IT systems, including issuing solutions, validation and refund applications, kiosks, and mobile networks.
- Provide user training and post-sales support in coordination with the sales team.
- Manage local inventory and report to Merchant Solutions teams.
- Ensure all operations are aligned with budget expectations.

Requirements:
- Degree in IT or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in a similar technical support role.
- Strong knowledge of PCs, operating systems, networks, POS-related technology, and transactional systems.
- Experience with ticketing systems; kiosk support is a plus.
- Experience managing infrastructure implementation projects and working with telco providers.
- Background in payment systems/solutions is a plus.
- Technical English (B2 level) is required for training and issue escalation.
- Strong customer service orientation and the ability to work independently under remote supervision.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Willingness to travel (up to 50%) throughout Colombia; personal mobility required.

What we offer:

- Remote work model based in Bogotá.
- Salary: COP $6,000,000 – $7,000,000
- Contract: 10-month term with the possibility of direct employment with the company.
